School Food Service
The 20-hour School Food Service certification course is designed for school food service personnel to provide a better understanding of sanitation and safety procedures while working in all areas of the kitchen, and nutrition. You will receive information needed to function more effectively in your job, or to update your skills for employment advancement. Although individuals are encouraged to complete the entire 20 hours, the 2 courses that make up the certification may be taken individually.
These two classes meet the Nutrition Education and the Sanitation and Safety components in the new Level I certification requirements with the School Nutrition Association. This course is offered in the summer term.
